As you probably can tell I go by Kiko. I was born in Milan, grew up in Chicago, and currently live in Italy. I am pursuing a degree in mathematics at the University of Pavia (Università di Pavia).
When I was younger I was very interested in computer science and system tinkering. When I was in high school I began learning how to use Linux. As time went on, this inevitably made me strongly reject the state of modern technology. I have in recent years attempted many lifestyle changes to reconcile this (I don’t use social media, I don’t have any entertainment on my phone, I use FOSS alternatives whenever I can, and so on). It took a while to get used to, but, once I did, I began to read and write much more to fill all the newfound time I had. I’ve always been interested in linguistics, history, philosophy, etc. so that’s what I usually gravitate towards but sometimes I’ll indulge some novels as well.
